My name is Carol Ann Carl, I'm 16 years old and live in Pohnpei, in the Federated States of Micronesia. I decided to start the Young Friends for two reasons: 1 - that I wanted to do something productive in the summer and 2 - that I didn't want to wait until I was in college to apply to the Young Champions of Micronesia Challenge program to do something conservation related.
So I started this group. I'm reaching out to as many high school kids across Micronesia and in my home island of Pohnpei.
So in the next few days I will be posting what our mission is and what our projects are going to be. Its all from scratch, so I hope this blog is a journal of that creative journey. Stay tuned! Its going to be a learning experience for all of us!
